1. Why did you start taking better care of your hair?
Tired of paying to go to the salon. Didn't have a way to get to my sister's house for her to do my hair. And I'm so happy for these two reasons.
2. What are your 2 favorite hair products?
Tresemme Naturals Conditioner, Coconut Oil
3. Who's hair did you admire as a child?
I loved Aaliyah's hair. It was long and always looked silky smooth!
4. What is your ultimate goal length?
Mid Back Length
5. How are you going to celebrate when you reach your ultimate goal length?
Straighten it and whip my hair back and forth lol
6. Two styles you want to try at your goal length?
Wavy hair and see what a twist out looks like on long hair
7. Which do you prefer: Health or Length?
Health!
8. Which do you prefer: hair ties with no metal parts or butterfly clips?
I guess hair ties since I use that more often
9. What products do you prefer: salon brands, organic brands, BSS brands, Drugstore brands, or other?
No preference. I've found some of my faves in each of these places.
10. Which product/technique do you think is over-rated?
Relaxers. Natural hair is more versatile.
11. Which product/technique do you think is under-rated?
Finger massaging. Just think about it: it feels good, you do it when you wash your hair anyway, it increases blood flow to your scalp which stimulates the follicles for growth, and you can do it while applying essential oils.
12. What is your favorite part of your hair regimen?
Conditioning. All because of my Tresemme Naturals conditioner!
13. What is the most annoying part of your hair regimen?
Styling! My arms get tired from being in the air all the time
14. Oils or Butters?
Oils
15. Buns or Ponytails?
Buns
16. Wigs or Weaves?
Weaves. Never had a wig, so I'm not sure how natural I can make that look on me.
17. What is your opinion of growth aids?
Only tried Hairfinity. It improved my hair overall, but I had some side effects. I'll stick to natural growth aids like castor oil.
18. At what length do you consider hair long?
APL
19. When is the last time you visited a salon?
Can't remember, but I guess 08/2012
20. What do you like to surf most often: YouTube channels, personal blogs, or hair forums?
YouTube channels definitely! I've learned so much for starting my hair journey, soo thankful!
21. And finally, what piece of advice would you give to someone just starting out on their hair journey?
